Wrinkle relaxing neurotoxin treatments are injectable treatments that help to reduce wrinkles caused by muscle movement. While there are different types of neurotoxin treatments, we choose Jeuveau.

What to Expect At Your Neurotoxin Appointment

Your appointment starts with a comprehensive consultation about your goals and a look at your facial movement and muscle patterns. This is how Jaime Brousseau, RN tailors every treatment to you, not a standard formula. From there, the injections themselves take just a few minutes. Most people are surprised by how fast it goes. Afterward, you'll get clear aftercare instructions: skip the gym and avoid lying flat for a few hours, and hold off on any facial massages or treatments for a day or two. Initial results start showing within 3–5 days, with full effect settling in around two weeks.


Neurotoxin treatments are often only part of the equation to maintaining skin health. Dermal fillers are a great way to address volume concerns, while PDO Thread Lifts are able to address deeper tissue lifting that neurotoxins aren't able to do.

  • What is the difference between Botox and the treatments offered at Skin & Soul Med Spa?

    Skin & Soul Med Spa uses Jeuveau, an FDA-approved neurotoxin made by Evolus that is designed specifically for cosmetic aesthetic use. Like Botox, Jeuveau is a botulinum toxin type A injectable that relaxes the muscles responsible for dynamic wrinkles. Both products work similarly; your provider will recommend the best option based on your treatment goals and individual anatomy.

  • How long does a Jeuveau appointment take?

    Please allow at least 30 minutes for your appointment. The consultation and injection process itself is quick (typically 15–20 minutes) but extra time ensures your provider can review your goals, assess treatment areas, and answer any questions before the procedure begins. There is no downtime, and most patients return to normal activities immediately after.

  • How long does it take to see results from neurotoxin, and how long do they last?

    Jeuveau at Skin & Soul Med Spa typically begins working within 24–48 hours of treatment. Most patients notice visible improvement within 7–10 days, with full results appearing by day 14. Results generally last 3 months. To maintain consistent results, we recommend a follow-up appointment every 3 months, or about three times per year. Individual results may vary.


  • Is there any downtime or recovery after Botox injections?

    There is no downtime after Jeuveau treatments at Skin & Soul Med Spa. The procedure takes approximately 30 minutes, and patients are able to return to their normal daily activities immediately afterward. Minor redness or slight swelling at the injection site may occur but typically resolves within a few hours. You should avoid lying down flat or exercising intensely for the first few hours post-treatment.

  • How many units of Botox will I need?

    The number of units needed depends on the areas being treated, your muscle mass, and the strength of those muscles. There is no single universal answer. At Skin & Soul Med Spa, every patient receives a personalized consultation before treatment so your provider can assess your anatomy and recommend exactly what you need to achieve your desired, natural-looking results.

  • What areas of the face and body can be treated with Botox or Jeuveau?

    At Skin & Soul Med Spa, neurotoxin treatments can address: forehead lines, frown lines (between the brows), crow's feet, brow lifting, bunny lines, lip flip, gummy smile, jaw slimming (masseter reduction), platysmal neck bands, and excessive underarm sweating (hyperhidrosis).
